Our Investment in Articul8

We are excited to share that Articul8 has announced a Series B financing led by Adara Ventures, with participation from NXC Corporation, Aditya Birla Ventures, and other strategic investors. The round is expected to total approximately $70M and values the company at over $500M, representing a meaningful step up from our initial investment in early 2024.

When we first partnered with Articul8, we believed there was a clear gap in the enterprise AI landscape. While general-purpose models were advancing rapidly, they fell short in real enterprise environments where data is fragmented, highly sensitive, and governed by strict regulatory and operational constraints. In these settings, domain-specific AI systems deployed directly within customer environments are far more effective than shared, horizontal solutions.

What makes this problem especially difficult is not model quality alone, but everything surrounding production deployment. Enterprises need AI systems that integrate deeply with legacy infrastructure, respect complex data permissions, operate reliably at scale, and withstand scrutiny from compliance, security, and legal teams. Maintaining performance over time requires continuous monitoring, retraining, and governance, often across heterogeneous on-prem and hybrid environments. Very few teams have the technical depth, operational discipline, and enterprise credibility to solve this end to end.

We believed Arun and the Articul8 team were uniquely positioned to tackle this challenge. They built a platform that enables enterprises to safely deploy and operate powerful, customized AI within their own infrastructure, without compromising on security, control, or reliability. Since our investment, the team has continued to validate this thesis through execution, customer adoption, and now a strong vote of confidence from a global investor base.
