Good morning and welcome back to this week’s AI Rundown by Lightscape Partners.

Last week in AI:

  • Apple hosted WWDC 2024, where they finally outlined their AI strategy. In a shock to many, Apple announced it is partnering with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to almost all Apple devices beginning with the next software release. Is Apple bending the knee in the AI race?

  • Lots of new models were released last week, including a new text-to-video model that’s publicly available now. NVIDIA also released a new model to assist with data generation.

  • OpenAI added an interesting member to their board in a move that seems to be redirecting their strategic plans going forward.

Our colleague at Bessemer Venture Partners, Janelle Teng, and her team released a phenomenal updated market map on AI infrastructure along with their updated opinions on the infra landscape. I highly recommend the article.

Skip to the bottom to see the new market map.
